Morrigan sailed for Mossel Bay but as we approached Knysna we saw that the sea conditions were favourable to enter through the Knysna Heads so decided to stop over there for a few days.

We left Morrigan in the Knysna Lagoon and went to visit Gondwana Game Lodge. We spent a night there and enjoyed a safari experience.

We spent a few nights in Knysna and met some wonderful people at the yacht club.

Before leaving East London, Dale and Tracy decided that a traditional South African Potjekos needed to be made.   Tina, Gustav, Louisa and Karen from SV Caminate and Tucker, Victoria, Ruby and Miles from SV Conivia joined us.

As the sun was setting over the Buffalo River on Saturday 21 Jaunuary 2017 SV Morrigan set sail for Mossel Bay.  Morrigan had been moored in the Buffalo River in East London South Africa since October 2016.   Dale and Tracy Kallaway had been taking care of her while Arne returned to USA for Christmas and to spend time with his family.
The wind was blowing at about 10 knots and the conditions were favourable to set sail.

Time to start up this blog ... well, actually, way past time, but we'll try to catch up!

We're in Knysna, South Africa, settled in the lagoon here.  Dale and Tracy Kallaway are my capable crew, and they will also help keep this blog going.  But here's the start!
